AREA ATTRACTIONS

Located just 20 minutes from MMW, Swiss Valley Ski Area boasts 11 runs of varied terrain, serviced by two quad chairlifts, one triple chairlift and a separate learning area with surface tows. Every slope is lighted for night skiing. There are also two Terrain parks ideal for snowboarding, a chalet lounge, snow making, day lodge with cafeteria, full service ski shop, rentals, PSIA ski school, racing and children’s programs.

The Michigan Snowmobile Trail system, one of the most extensive in the country, lies a mere 6 miles from the MMW grounds. Snowmobiling is a unique opportunity to reach out-of-the-way areas in winter and a thrilling sport in its own right.

MMW’s own lake is home to a variety of pan and sport fish. A popular winter activity in Michigan’s frozen lakes, ice fishing is an easy and enjoyable sport for families and people looking for solitude alike.

The extensive grounds of MMW and the surrounding area offer a variety of trails for horseback riding. Horses can be brought in for riding upon request.
